Jill Locke (Political Science) published an article “Beyond Heroes and Hostility: Greta Thunberg, Vanessa Nakate, and The Transnational Politics of Girl Power” in the journal NORA, Nordic Journal of Feminist and Gender Research. The article is part of a special issue on “Unashamed Citizenship: Activist Voices in Scandinavia,” which is inspired by Locke’s concept of “unashamed citizenship” from her 2016 book, Democracy and the Death of Shame.
