Marcia Bunge (Religion) co-edited a new book… “So That All May Flourish: The Aims of Lutheran Higher Education (Fortress, 2023),” with Jason A. Mahn (Augustana College) and Martha E. Stortz (Augsburg University). The volume explores the core values, distinctive strengths, and contemporary challenges of the 27 institutions in the Network of ELCA Colleges and Universities (NECU). The book offers an introduction to NECU institutions that is appreciative, critical, and constructive and includes 16 chapters written by scholars from various NECU institutions, including a chapter by Bunge on the “Vocation and the Dynamics of Discernment.”
