Kathy Lund Dean’s contributions to a national college learning assessment project were recognized with the publication of a new book entitled, Improving Quality in American Higher Education: Learning Outcomes and Assessments for the 21st Century (Jossey-Bass). The book is the culmination of a multi-year assessment research project sponsored by the Gates Foundation and the Social Science Research Council.
