Faculty Spotlight – Kathy Lund Dean

Kathy Lund Dean (Business and Economics) and the E. Terry Skone Investment Club executive leadership team of Nhyira Gamhrah ’26, Evan Ressler ’26, Josie Woldemar ’26, Cooper Ptacek ’27, Melora Lee ’27, Kieran Anders ’28, and Will Lawhead ’28, continued the Club’s philanthropic activities with its $13,148 FY 2026 scholarship donation. Scholarship money supports two need-based awards in the department each year. Through active market analysis, cooperative trading decisions, and a stewardship focus, the students who manage the Skone Club’s investment portfolio foster an inclusive environment for learning about markets, investing and long-term financial health. The FY 2026 donation brings the Club’s cumulative scholarship contributions to $127,029.
