What excites you most about joining Gustavus Adolphus College?
I’m thrilled to be working at an institution with a great music tradition and am looking forward to my role as the next conductor of the Gustavus Wind Orchestra and Gustavus Wind Symphony.
Briefly describe your professional interests.
All things music, especially: conducting, wind band repertoire and history, orchestral repertoire, and chamber music.
What aspects of teaching do you find most rewarding?
I love watching students continually strive to improve their musicianship over the course of a year. They will often exceed their own expectations and achieve more than they thought possible. Playing a role in guiding and hopefully inspiring their development is deeply rewarding.
