Jon Grinnell (Biology) was featured prominently in a recent New York Times article about bison attacks in Yellowstone Park. Grinnell and his students have researched bison behavior, ecology, and management at a reserve in South Dakota for the last 18 years or so, but, Grinnell says, “it was still a surprise to get an email and then a call from a Times reporter seeking commentary on recent gorings by bison in Yellowstone.” Grinnell did the impromptu interview while waiting for a delayed flight at the MSP Airport.
