    Erik Gulbranson (Environment, Geography, and Earth Sciences) recently published an article, “U–Pb geochronology and stable isotope geochemistry of terrestrial carbonates, Lower Cretaceous Cedar Mountain Formation, Utah: implications for synchronicity of terrestrial and marine carbon isotope excursions”, in the journal Geosciences.

  • Faculty Spotlight: Yumiko Oshima-Ryan

    Yumiko Oshima-Ryan (Music) had a new release, “Takashi Yoshimatsu Piano Works for the Left Hand,” from the Naxos Music Library – Japanese Classics series. The album was recommended in one of the major music magazines, (レコード芸術) “Art of Records,” August issue as the August Special Edition. You can listen to the album on Spotify.

    Peg O’Connor (Philosophy) had an op-ed in USA Today on the necessity of legislation to legalize pot including limits on its potency. Additionally, her series, “Philosophy Stirred, Not Shaken,” on psychologytoday.com has now reached more than 2 million total views.

    Darsa Donelan has been awarded the Doc Brown Futures Award, recognizing early-career members who demonstrate excellence in their contributions to the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT), physics education, and who exhibit the potential to serve in an AAPT leadership role.
