Gustavus hosted the Upper Midwest Regional American Academy of Religion and Society of Biblical Literature meeting on April 1-2. Blake Couey and Samuel Kessler (both Religion) helped organize the event, and the religion department and Bernhardson Chair in Lutheran Studies were campus sponsors. Over 60 people participated in the meeting, including seven current Gustavus religion students and recent alums. Couey, Casey Elledge (Religion), and Kessler presented papers, and Marcia Bunge (Religion) officially welcomed participants to campus.
