K. Angelique Dwyer has published a total of four creative non-fiction short stories written in Spanglish through PORTAL: Journal of Multidisciplinary International Studies, edited by Paul Allatson from the University of Australia. Allatson is a prestigious Latino Studies scholar known for editing the Spanglish works of Susana Chavez-Silverman. Dwyer’s stories are entitled: “La manda;” “Simon;” “Gringos mexicanos” and “Doce horas: A Family Border Tale.” PORTAL also published Dwyer’s first short story entitled “My Brother the Mexican.” Together, these stories form the completed collection under the same title.
