Jill Locke delivered an invited paper at the “Doing Democracy Differently” conference hosted by McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario (March 22-23, 2019). Many of the sources in Locke’s paper, “Fighting with the Children: Toward a Political Theory of Youth Activism,” are on the syllabus of the Political Science seminar she is currently teaching, titled “Revolting Children.” Locke is working on a book about youth activism in the areas of climate change, gun control, immigration, and policing.
