Ursula Lindqvist presented a paper, “Teaching Africa in Scandinavian Studies Courses,” on a panel titled “Using the Liberal Arts to Teach about Africa” at the 2017 Africa Network conference, Africa in the 21st Century Classroom, at Saint Olaf College in Northfield on Saturday, September 30, 2017. The presentation drew examples from two courses Lindqvist teaches at Gustavus: Diversity and Social Change in the Nordic Region (SCA-211) and Nordic Colonialisms and Postcolonial Studies (SCA-360).
