Anna Krieger ’17 attended the American Chemical Society national meeting in San Francisco, CA, where she presented a poster on the research that she has been conducting in collaboration with Dr. Brandy Russell. Anna got started in Dr. Russell’s lab through the FYRE (First-Year Research Experience) summer program in 2014, studying the structure and behavior of metal-binding proteins. In Summer 2015, she was the inaugural awardee of the Anderson Summer Scholar research fellowship, working in Dr. Russell’s lab for a second summer. Anna’s participation in the ACS national meeting was supported by an ACS Women Chemists Committee (WCC) travel award (sponsored by Eli Lilly & Company). As part of this award, she participated in special networking events and a poster session organized by the WCC.
