Blake Couey presented a paper titled “Poetry, Language, and Statecraft in Isaiah 18” at the Upper Midwest Society of Biblical Literature meeting in Saint Paul on April 1, 2017. The paper is a shortened version of a book chapter that will appear in a forthcoming volume of close readings of biblical poems published by Cambridge University Press.
