Ursula Lindqvist gave a public lecture and Q&A titled “What is Feminist Filmmaking?” at the Walter Chapin Simpson Center for the Humanities at the University of Washington as part of the Scandinavian Studies Graduate Colloquium Series. Her visit to the campus April 18-19, 2018, also included sharing meals and “fikas” with graduate students to discuss their work, as well as guest lecturing in an undergraduate film course. Her public lecture highlighted the work of female filmmakers in the Nordic region and their influence around the world in creating greater opportunities for women in film.
