Kristen Lowe (Art and Art History) invites the Gustavus community and public to a reception for her exhibition, Waterways and Prairies, on January 24 from 3-5 p.m. at the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge’s Confluence Gallery. Drawing inspiration from local rivers, owls, herons, and coyotes, Lowe uses intricate layers of charcoal, Japanese wood, and natural materials to capture the spirit of the landscape and the creatures within it.
