Lisa Heldke (Philosophy) was an invited speaker at an online symposium, Food and the Microbiome, sponsored by Culinary Mind, a research center and academic network promoting philosophical thinking on food based at University of Milan. Heldke presented a talk entitled “Chomping unto death: a parasitic conception of human personhood,” based on her recently published book Parasitic Personhood and the Ontology of Eating.
