Gustavus Adolphus College is proud to announce that its Accounting program has been ranked 16th among the top 40 medium-sized collegiate accounting programs for CPA Exam success, based on the latest CPA Success Index rankings. This achievement reflects the College’s commitment to academic excellence and the preparation of students for professional success.
The CPA Success Index, introduced in 2020, is a comprehensive metric that evaluates how well collegiate accounting programs prepare students to pass all four sections of the CPA exam within the critical 18-month window. Unlike single-section pass rates, the Index estimates a student’s likelihood of completing the entire CPA exam, offering a more holistic view of a program’s effectiveness.
The ranking draws on data from the 2023 edition of NASBA’s Candidate Performance on the Uniform CPA Examination report, analyzing programs with more than 20 candidates to ensure robust comparisons. With an average CPA Success Index of 0.33 across more than 500 programs nationwide, Gustavus stands out as a leader, showcasing its ability to deliver CPA-ready graduates.
