We are excited to announce that Peter Stark, Instructor of the Practice in Business and Economics, has been named the Marcia Page and John Huepenbecker Endowed Professor of International Business and Entrepreneurship. This endowed professorship was established in 2012-13 by Marcia Page and John Huepenbecker with the mission to promote excellence in teaching and learning at Gustavus Adolphus College. Through this position, the College aims to develop future leaders equipped with essential business skills, entrepreneurial vision, and a foundation in ethical and moral principles.
Peter Stark brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to student mentorship. Since joining Gustavus in 2018, Peter has taught courses in Strategic Management and Organizational Behavior, inspiring students to think critically about leadership and ethical business practices.
His commitment to coaching and advocacy has left a lasting impact, and he was recognized by students and colleagues alike as “Professor of the Year” in 2005-06 at the Labovitz School of Business at UMN-Duluth. Peter’s teaching excellence has also been celebrated internationally. He taught in executive education programs at the Aalto/Helsinki School of Economics for nearly 15 years, delivering MBA courses in Asia and Eastern Europe. His work in these global programs has consistently earned him high rankings and recognition for his expertise and engaging teaching style.
