Faculty Spotlight: Lisa Heldke

Lisa Heldke (Philosophy), along with her co-creator Cynthia Belliveau from the University of Vermont, is the recipient of the 2022 John Dewey Society Award for Outstanding Achievement, for their creation of the John Dewey Kitchen Institute. The award is given to “that individual or those individuals who, in the judgment of the committee, has or have, over the past two calendar years, undertaken work that is innovative, groundbreaking, or pioneering in the fields of democratic citizenship or progressive education.”
