Yurie Hong (Greek, Latin, and Classical Studies) was the Graduate Forum invited speaker at University of Wisconsin-Madison and presented a public lecture entitled “Between Appreciation and Complicity: A Korean-American take on the Homeric Hymn to Demeter, Arranged Marriage, and Women’s Honor.” She also led a graduate workshop on transferable skills and the connections between Classics and civic activism and community engagement.
